1. It existed in the 1880s in Pullman, Illinois.
2. The leader was George Pullman.
3. Three beliefs of the group were: They didn't agree with the train labor union, capitolism, Pullman dollars (not real money)
4. Two reasons why they failed: Pullman's company was failing and he demanded more rent from his community and his workers reblelled, and Pullman payed employees with his own money.
5.Three interesting facts: Pullman made a luxerery railroad car, in1859 Pullman directed workers to move and work on buildings, in 1860 he relocated to Colorado.
6. Two similiarties to "The Giver": The goverment tried to controll the communtiy and they were assigned jobs.
7. Two differences to "The Giver": In Pulman's utopia they had to pay taxes, and they weren't controlled to the point where they were assigned children.
